Only then can we learn more about your ancestry and help you find a connection.
Just wanted to let Group 4 French know that my brother Herb French has submitted DNA 37 marker to FTDNA. We will have the final results 12/12. The 12 and 25 marker results are online. I see that Rai French matches as expected. We are cousins via two sons of John Peter French of SC. Linda French Dawson
Great news Linda. Is this Kit Number 217185 at http://www.familytreedna.com/public/french/default.aspx?section=yresults?
I just used the chart you'd sent out awhile ago and updated it. I was able to match all the Kit numbers with researchers and their earliest ancestors except for one Kit - N15044. I sent an email to Julia Wood to ask about it. I was planning to send a copy of this chart to everyone - once I hear back from Julia.
yes, Herb is 217185. We are waiting for the 37 marker results but so far matches Rai and Tom(Vicki and Mike). I think N15044 is Wes Groleau but have not heard back from him to verify. I sent another email tonight. I also have inquired to Julia "who is that man" but no reply. Mara does not know either.
Everybody, check in. let's hear from you and what you are doing.
I have been workig on a timeline, trying to place all the Group 4 French at location certain years. Linda
So Joseph Lester French is a descendant of William Lewis French of TN. Mystery solved - thanks for the reminder about your chart on blogspot. I'll send out my chart to you all. I included some info on the wives of the earliest ancestors, some dates, and email addresses for each researcher that I could find.
Linda, here's hoping this works.
ReplyDeleteFred is having trouble posting to his own chapter(George) so this is a test run. Look for a short timeline some time soon. Linda
