I know that Mara is doing a fine job of digging out Jacob from Hedgesville. We found Jacob who married Dicie (Diannah) McMann who were the people who raised 2 of Warner's young children after his death. This may be our connection. Check my info. on http://www.hortonfamilies.net/gen2.html
I haven't looked at it recently due to Nat's health & some old lady aches & pains of my own. I'll dig out the source & post it.
I'm glad Mara has been so interested in our line of Frenchs. I'm very excited about DNA from a descendant of FFA Chart #129. That could provide some clues too.
ReplyDeleteBesides the possible connection of Philip French to Jacob French and Dicy McCann, I've looked some at the other sons of Jacob French of Hedgesville to see if there might be a link there. I haven't found any yet, but there's more research to do on those men.
